Four suspects are being processed, including former Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, with alleged state losses reaching Rp622 billion.
The sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court (PN), Sulistyo Muhamad Dwi Putro, rejected the Pre-trial motion filed by the Commissioner of PT Raudah Eksati Utama and concurrently the General Chairman of the Association of Hajj and Umrah Tour Travel Units of the Republic of Indonesia (Kesthuri), Asrul Azis Taba. This decision was read out at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (10/8), in case number: 121/Pid.Pra/2026/PN JKT.SEL. Judge Sulistyo stated, "Adjudicating, on the merits of the case: reject the Pre-trial motion of the Applicant entirely."
The judge revealed that the search conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had followed the applicable procedures. These procedures included a search warrant, a letter from the court chairman, and were documented in a search report. The applicant was also ordered to pay court costs amounting to nil.
This Pre-trial motion was registered by Asrul's party on Friday, July 17, 2026. The registration was made three days after the KPK announced the completion of the investigation into the alleged corruption case of additional Hajj quotas.
